We just came back from out trip at Castaway Bay in Sandusky Ohio. The resort is ran by Cedar point, one of the largest amusement parks. Castaway Bay is a resort with an indoor waterpark. I highly recommend going there, however make sure your children are at the minimum 42" tall (most rides require that height).

The resort is nice, you never have to leave. There are 4 or 5 restaurants on site, plus some small shops. I would recommend going here. If you are in need of a trip with your children and can not afford to take them to an island, then this is the place for you!!
