Cape Breton SummaryKittyanne
September 2005

I grew up in Cape Breton and have visited Cuba a dozen times. I have always found the similarities of "island people" remarkable. Autumn is the most beautiful season in Cape Breton. The leaves are yellow, red, gold. The sky and water are magnificent shades of blue. The days are clear, sunny and warm and the evenings are cool.

The landscape is spectacular ... mountains and valleys, farmland and industrial areas.

Best of all is the hospitality of the people, the culture (mainly Scottish and Acadian), history, a world class golf course, great resorts and many interesting communities.

The Celtic Colours happens in October and musicians and dancers from all over the world gather to put on performances in every venue imaginable ... schools, concert and church halls, outdoors.
