Echo Lake Fishing ResortRod & Dianne ~Spruce Grove Alberta
September 2006

We went to Echo Lake Fishing Resort near Lumby BC, we booked and paid to stay there 4 nights we left two days early due terrible conditions (we asked for refund but were denied); the outhouses had a stench that was not fit for human and only 1 running water toilet for 7 cabins and over 33 campsites (there was a constant line up), fishing equipment that failed and our hosts were terribly rude and miserable, after talking to other guests they claimed not to be happy either with the facilities. Although this does have a negative effect on our view of BC on the flip side we constantly met friendly people in the Okanogan Valley who made us feel welcome.

The Whale Cove CampgroundBrenda ~Canada
August 2005

We went Whale Watching last weekend (Aug 19/05) from Digby Neck in Nova Scotia. We stayed at a family owned and operated campground called The Whale Cove Campground (about 5-7 min from Petit Passage, they have a website). This is a small, very friendly campground. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We would very happily stay there again.

Petit Passage Whale Watching (they have a website) was the cruise we chose and we were very pleased with them. They have a 47ft long 17ft wide cape islander style boat, built in 2004. Crew is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our cruise lasted 3 hrs +. We saw 9 whales, dolphines and seals. We are planning to go back again next year and do it again.
